Compare your route length with the turn limit.

The idea Count the minimum spaces between start, switches, and goal. A route already longer than the budget needs revision before play.

A useful check For budget moves before moving, track your position, the two switch states, and remaining moves separately. A blocked move does not consume a turn; entering a switch does. Reset whenever you want to test another route.
